Kawartha Settlers’ Village gratefully acknowledges the generous support towards our Moving the Village Forward annual campaign. In 2018, your support helped raise $6,800. 2018 was an extremely successful year at Kawartha Settlers’ Village with well over 24,000 visits. We aim to create new tasks and objectives to ensure that Village does in fact continue to Move Forward.
How are we doing so?
As the recipient of $12,000 from the Bobcaygeon Chest Fund, we are using the funds to convert the oil furnace in the Wray House to propane and replace the roof on the Kimble House.
A committee has been struck to explore the feasibility of constructing an Interpretive Centre. This new building would house the enterprise centre, office space and an accessible washroom. This would result in using the Boyd Shanty to create a brand new exhibit.
The completion and launch of the Nature Trail.
An updated website and visitor booklet.
Maintenance and upgrades to existing buildings, like a new roof for the Henderson House.
In order to keep the Village safe, viable and Moving Forward we need continued community support.
